So my 39 year old brother is missing. He lives at a Sober House and on Friday he took a few items of clothing and said he was going to my parents for the weekend. Obviously didn't show up. He was supposed to be back today for meetings but came home early in the morning, took some more clothes and a few small items to go sell.
I spoke to his sponsor last week and he said that my brother is very self-destructive at the moment and we need to prepare for the worse.
He has four children aged between 16 and 1. How are we supposed to prepare them?

I'm very sorry for your situation. I hope your brother decides to return and seek help.

If the worst happens, I suppose that counselling/therapy for the children would be very helpful.

Have you called the police to report him missing?

Technically he isn't missing, as people have seen him driving around. He's bank account is also still active (I have access to his online banking). He simply doesn't want to come home or see anyone

The difficult part is that we know what he is doing, we don't know when or if he is coming back
