Still here - still sober
Hi All,
I've been reading some posts but haven't posted much myself over the last few days. I am still sober. I think I am coming up on 3 months. I now wish I knew my sobriety date!
It IS getting easier but some days like today I still get the urge to drink. Then I remember what happened with my drinking in the past and I know I wouldn't be able to stop at a glass of wine. I might the first night out of fear but I am sure I'd just go back to my previous level of consumption or more.
The weekends are still hard but after dinner I give myself a treat of sitting on the couch with my cat for a bit and having some chocolate. I go to bed sober and wake up without a hangover.
Thank you all for the continued support.

Hi chowchow.
It took me a long time to realize there would never be 'just one'. As you said, we might have a bit of control temporarily, but eventually we're right back where we left off - only worse. Congrats on your 3 hard earned months. We know the work it took to get there.

Congratulations on 3 months chowchow. If you go to the top of the screen and click on "my posts", you will see a drop down box and from there can click on your posts and probably determine when your sobriety date was by one of your posts.
