I’ve been lurking for a few months, and noticed your occasional inclusion of something along the lines of “no one is coming to save me”. I always thought that not quite right, as somebody was, YOU were saving yourself. You were doing it; you can do it again. Tweak your plan, identify the weak spots, patch them up, and go for it. You’ve proven you can do it already, you KNOW you can do it. Best to you.
Come on less’ you have all the tools & you know how to use them.
Try not to let your guard down just because you know this.
Your Beast will have your underpants round one ankle and give you a good f**kin if you do.
Please don’t play with an inferno.
Dust off and get your head straight ASAP
Sorry for my strong language
I just care.

hi less - I've used this analogy before.
You know how to get sober - you've done it several time - now its time to get sober again and move onto the next level.
Your rocket has left the surface of Planet Addiction several times. This time you need to achieve escape velocity.
Like Nons I don't believe you don't know what to do, or that you're as lost as you have convinced yourself you are.
You know exactly what to do less - why waste anymore days dithering about waiting to reclaim your life?

I've been watching episodes of the show "I shouldn't be alive". Finding the parallels with addiction to be undeniable.
Say you were actually floating in the treacherous sea of addiction.. holding on to alcohol as your perceived life raft. You can see the shore but the thing that's been "keeping you afloat" is also holding you back. It's too heavy to drag with you so at some point you have to just let it go and swim for it.
If you're gonna die (metaphorically) die trying.
