So between a Ford BMax and a Nissan Note both diesels... Mrs Vman prefers the Nissan....
The Ford looks more solid.
Test driving on sat.

Hi, weekenders.

I've just survived 20 hours blackout - I mean there was no electricity. Well, it wasn't fun at all.

That doesn't sound good MB, hopefully it was a one-off and things will be back to normal now.

V-man, that was quick - well done on finding cars so fast - hope the test drives go well.

Weather is holding up here, which is nice - hoping the sun sticks around for the weekend.

Oopsy, thought I was jumping in at the end of the Weekenders, but it was just the end of the weekend. Forgot that Weekenders takes me through the week to Thursday. Yay!

Hi back Gilmer!

Boy, did I want to drink yesterday. Couldn't get squat done workwise due to a migraine and was just feeling frustrated and mad at life in general. But guess what, I made a promise on SR I wouldn't drink, so I didn't allow the impulse to turn into action.

And hey, guess what? I'm not drinking today either. Happy Tuesday Weekenders!

I just had enough time to make it to the grocery store and back (my food got wasted because fridge didn't work) when the electricity went down again!

Luckily I didn't got stuck in the elevator!

Come on!

This time it went back an hour later though.

How vulnerable we are without electricity...

Oh gosh love.....yes, lucky you didn't get stuck in the elevator. They should cover the cost of the lost food....they do in Australia, Melbourne anyway. ♥♥

I hope there is no third time outage MidnightBlue. Parts of London were without water for a few days a couple of months ago (not where I live thank goodness)

I am home early for a change as I had to travel to a town 80 miles away and decided not to go back in to work afterwards.

Here it’s just a shrug and tough luck!

Where I live we lose power frequently, sometimes for as long as 24 hours. I've resorted to filling half my freezer with water jugs full of water (now ice) to keep my meats safe when this happens. Usually the only thing(s) I lose now in power-outs is milk. Last time it happened I put two of the frozen containers in a cooler and put my milk and yogurt in there and I didn't lose anything. Yay.

There is a huge Safeway grocery store that is also in my part of the power grid and they frequently lose all their meat and all their dairy. Millions of dollars in insurance claims I would reckon. Don't know why this problem is never solved...I mean I live in the greater Seattle area. I'm not in the boonies, but this particular neighborhood goes through this a lot. I can look out my window and see everyone else has power. It's annoying.

First World Problems.

Yes, Gilmer. I can't even fathom what kind of reaction I would get if I ask for compensation for my wasted food.

If adult humans quit drinking calf grow juice, part of that dairy refrigeration problem is solved.

I'm stunned guys....I checked....it is ALL electricity service providers in Aus who compensate. Every single one of them. Maybe it's because they almost never have to....they get the power back on tout de suite in the cities.

And oh trach.....brave man....not going there.
