drink alcohol or use drugs again. After sitting down yesterday and analyzing how life has been affected the past couple of years due to drinking and using drugs it is the conclusion I have come to. I wrote down every single dumb ******* thing I've done while drunk or high I can honestly say that I'd prefer death to drinking or using again...

I think in most cases saying 'I'd rather die than' is being melodramatic and in some cases a dangerous statement to make. But in this case I know that is a very good statement to make!

We did a very effective exercise in outpatient rehab.

Make four lists:

The Pros of drinking (yes, there are some)
The Cons of drinking

The Pros of not drinking
The Cons of not drinking (again, there are some)

Then classify whether the benefits are short or long term.
