Day 196! 4 more days!!!!
Day 196! 4 more days!!!!
Hey everyone! I hope all is well out there. I'm at work right now so I will make this quick. Later today I will be taking my butt to the park, and running my 4 miles. I've been doing that routinely for about a week now,and i'm feeling ALIVE! I quit smoking cigarettes 2 weeks ago...so I have a NEW kind of energy that needs to be released. I must say though, I never thought i'd quit. The first 3 days sucked so hardcore, but now i'm getting used to it.

Congrats Ashley on your sobriety and freedom from cigarettes. Way to go! I can tell you 2 of the greatest accomplishments of my life are sobriety and ceasing smoking! 27 years sober and 16 years free of cigarettes! And at this stage, it is almost like I never smoked! All the emotional triggers for both alcohol and cigarettes are long gone. Now, as far as running, if I attempted to run 4 miles MY Butt would be dead! Way to go on that also!

Congrats, soon 200. And huge congrats on quitting smoking. Dh and I redid our insurance and the difference between using tobacco in the last 12 months and not was $120 a month and that is only a half million in insurance. I wish I had never started or started again and quit again... I am counting down the days until that premium drops. She gave me the grand total, I was like I don't want to buy the brokerage lol
Way to go on your accomplishments.

Wonderful job, Ashley! I am house/dog sitting this week so I get a break from my roommates and can hang with my doggie pal Zoe. Loving my 27 months of sobriety! Keep up the brilliant work.
I didn't realize there were other options of forums to post. I like to come on here to promote positivity to the newbies, and to show them that sobriety isn't so bad. I think i'll continue on here for quite a while.
