Greetings All
I am here to learn and find support. My best friend is nearly ready to hit the "rock bottom" I think. Not sure exactly tho since she is still defending her right to drink. I think I may have enabled her without even realizing. I'm hoping to learn all I can so I don't enable anymore. Thank you for all the wisdom shared here!

I wish there was a way I could help nearly all my friends.
But the choice to stop and help themselves is theirs alone.
Makes me sad every time I think of them.
Lost 4 friends to drink related deaths.
Lost my dad to dementia through drink.

You can't do anything if they don't want help. How do you think you enable her? Do you give her money, supply her with alcohol, or allow her to drink in your home? I suggest finding an al-anon meeting nearby so you can learn how to take care of yourself.
