Couldn't say it better, so won't try. What 'Arpeggioh' said:

Keep your eyes and your head and your heart pointed in the right direction. You're headed for a great day one of many...

Got back from footie, difference is no trip to the shop for cans of beer

Going to now tidy up, phone a friend, see my sister

I’m a bit worried about how I’m going to get to sleep, I’ve just got to be patient with it really haven’t I

Glad to be sober

If you can't sleep use your time to work writing out your life plan.

Will do don’t remember

I’m really pleased with myself that for the first time in ages, I’m laying my head on the pillow alcohol free. I’m sure I’ll feel pleased with that decision in the morning, I’ve taken a step to get back to being me and I’m so proud I’ve done that

It may not seem much but I’ve broken that deadly cycle tonight. Now I have the opportunity to kick start a better life for me and my family

Awesome, Stewie! And if you don’t sleep tonight, to hell with it, you’re doing the right thing and it will pay off in spades! Rooting for ya!

Seriously..I spent many sleepless nights in early days writing out 'plans' some were sobriety. Some were new business ventures and some were old business things that I loved doing and some were the ramblings of a mad man. LOL I'm actually starting up a new old one today(well..spent the first money towards it.) It's taken me over a year to get back to focusing on me. Not booze, not 110% my 'gf'(ex) and trying to hold that nonsense together for some crazy reason(obviously there's still 'thoughts' on both at times) , but I'm back, man. You can get back too. Focus on yourself and get better, bud.

Edit: I notice you come back and post a lot on Mon..give a weekend here in that weekender's thread instead of drinking.

What's been holding you back from rehab? You keep drinking and drinking to no end. There is much better waiting for you!

Insomnia sucks, but lack of sleep never killed anyone. Drinking to cure insomnia is like chopping off your foot because you stubbed your toe.

Stay close, let us know how day two is progressing. Forward...
