Body signs

I'm 64. Alcoholic from my teens. Stopping and starting drinking for years. I've got duptruyens finger, which is a sign of alcoholism . Can't straighten little finger. If I drink a few drinks my face flushes really red..looks frightening . Can't process alcohol anymore. My body is telling me to stop. It's killing me slowly. But can I stay stopped? I hope so.

Stopping takes a decision. The decision to quit drinking. Staying stopped takes more. It takes action. A plan to do whatever it takes to support that decision to stop drinking. It takes change; change from a life that supports our alcohol addiction to one that supports a sober life.

It takes recovery.

Welcome here Aran. There is much wisdom and support in these pages.

Here's my question though:

Just who is that question directed to?

If you make the decision to stop and to stay sober, you can do it.

It's hard, but it's simple. And, we're here to support you.
