Withdraw question

I have been drinking around a fifth of vodka daily for at least ten years...I'm wondering if anyone at a similar level was able to detox without medical supervision and avoided dt's and seizures.. Right now I'm very shaky as I often am in the morning before drinking..I also have been having problems with coordination and vision and seem to bite my tongue a lot which is why I need to stop..bit I don't want to be in the hospital

O have had seizures in the past from stopping for a day because I simply ran out of alcohol.

Please get medical help. That is the only safe and logical solution.

You definitely need to seek medical attention, especially if you’ve had seizures during withdrawals before. There are ways to medically detox and reduce the possible risks, but only under the supervision of a doctor/detox professional .

As the others have said, you need medical help. You can be done with this and never have to do it again. Please do it!

You need to get medical help.

You don't want to add, "not getting medical help with detox", to your list of regrets.
