“No Man Is an Island” Weekender: March 15-19, 2018
In.
Thank you for that wonderful OP Gilmer.
Congratulations on 20 weeks MLH!
I completed a medical this morning which went better than I expected, in part down to me being in such bad shape at my last one 3 years ago. I shall not be winning any Olympic medals but heart, lungs and BP all good, my arthiritis is getting worse however there are some options.
Apparently I have the same type of arthritis as a guy named Phil Mickelson who plays a bit of golf same as me although I think his long game is a tad better than mine.

I’m glad you passed your physical with flying colors, Sao!
I’m also glad that, if you must suffer with arthritis, at least you have the satisfaction of namedropping Phil Mickelson!

That is one of my favorite poems-thanks, Gilmer. 'because I am involved with mankind' makes so much sense to me.
I was riding my bicycle home from work this afternoon and saw a doggie almost get creamed by a garbage truck, it just missed this little sweetie by inches. I pulled over and coaxed her out of the street, very friendly, absolutely non aggressive. Another woman pulled over too and took her to the humane society. It was a curly blond, labradoodle type pup, obviously well cared for. Hopefully she is chipped.
That was a good start to the weekend, and I am spending it sober! Hoping you all have a fabulous, sober weekend.
