Today marks 7 Days...
Things have been going smooth although I have had several small triggers but I powered through. I have been working and really just not thinking about alcohol. Trying to work out and go to yoga and better myself. My job is hanging on by a thread so I am doing everything I need to do with that which in addition to the cost of alcohol, being an dysfunctional alcoholic is EXPENSIVE. I have spent a ton on lawyers for a DUI years ago. And now I am having to pay for the cost of the mandatory IOP program so that I could keep my job that will still hang on by a thread and will be in the condition for some time.
BUT WITH ALL THAT SAID...
I looked up and checked my posts and realized I had a one week anniversary.

Well done pink panther.
Keep going and one day you can be the boss if that is what you wish.
If you kept your job as a drinker I can’t see you losing it as a non drinker.
You’ll have your debts paid off in good time.
All you have to do is not drink.
Go panther he/she’s our man/woman,
If he/she can’t do it no one can.
(Not sure that song looks as good as I think it sounds)

Good job!
AA has a good saying "Don't quit before the miracle happens". Now for me its never been a miracle, but it does get incrementally better. And the consequences resolve over time. There are ups and downs, but over all the general pattern is up. So many cycle so quickly from detox to relapse that they never teach the ole brain that it does get better!

Congratulations on your 7 days and never mind them, lawyers, the difference between a burglar and a lawyer, is the lawyer breaks in through the letterbox and takes everything' I should know I am a lawyer hope this got a laugh anyway.

Congratulations! It's my day 7 as well. Keep up the yoga and fitness, they will pay off so well in conjunction with your sobriety. I don't know your job situation, but I hope you are able to build yourself back up. People tend to be forgiving if you continue to put in hard work and honest effort.
