Need to be vigilant this week as its

My trigger point normally, the AV at this point tries to tell me I am not an alcoholic, so must be ready for this and take the relative steps to get past it

Is there a special reason you're worried now? The AV is cunning, you're right, we must be on guard all the time.

Need to be vigilant this week...
Keep posting. You've got hundreds of friends here who are ready, willing, and able to be part of Team Vigilance this week. We are fully equipped with AV Spotters, Trigger Boppers, and Urge Surfing Night Vision Devices. This is virtually the safest place on Earth.

We got this. :ring

You CAN do this 😊👍

In my view it is not necessary to determine if you are an "alcoholic". What I figured out with some help of an AA old timer is this. He simply asked me: "Does alcohol consumption cause me problems?" If the answer is "Yes" then perhaps I would be better served by living my life without it.

For me it's really a one day at a time program. All I have is today and this morning I woke up sober and that's enough of a reward for not drinking yesterday. No hangover and not hating myself for drinking is pretty good stuff in my book.

What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition.

Thank you everyone, I am cautious this week as the last time I gave up, it was around this time that the AV started, and yes AAPJ alcohol does cause me problems because I am an alcoholic and always will be, my life is better without it, thanks for your support

You can do this Mummy. Hang in there, I’m rooting for you. :grouphug:

I'm new here, so not sure what AV means? Regardless, you've made a permanent decision that you know is right. No need to let anything else influence you otherwise. Stay strong.

AV alcohol voice/addiction voice, it can come at any time, thanks

Each time you beat the AV, your sobriety muscle gets stronger Mummy.

Think of it as "working out" for your recovery ;)

Thanks Hawkeye13

Don’t forget to put new batteries in your AV remote so you can mute it.
‘Starve it by feeding your sobriety’
Go mummy-2! Show it who’s boss
