Long layover at the airport...
Long layover at the airport...
And if there's any issues I'll be sober enough to drive the plane.
Man people love to drink at airports. I used to as well.
But I'll have a refill on my seltzer please.
No one is coming to save me.

I used to like it too, but how hideous was it getting on the plane and having to pee when the seatbelt sign was on; wanting another drink and not being able to get one; sobering up during the flight; having hangover thirst and having to find water; combining jet lag with hangover? Not worth it! Stay strong!!!! Plus the prices are a rip off
Thanks everyone.
And yes I've been here before. Wasted many many a time in an airport terminal.
Little pangs come and go. I watch them disappear and I don't envy the buzz the drinkers are chasing.

Enjoy your seltzer! I'd forgotten about airports when I was thinking about my triggers..I'm not a huge fan of flying and a beer or three used to get me loosened up enough to feel okay about takeoff...I'll have to learn some new ways to relax when flying!
I travel often for work, and used to do some of my best drinking during layovers. And always felt like trash when I got to where I was going, and worse, the next day.
I do some of my best reading during layovers now. Sometimes I walk the terminals, to get some exercise.
Now, when I see people doing my old thing in airports, I feel no pangs. I did at first, but no longer. I’m so grateful to not be there.
