non alcoholic beer and wine
Different view here. I drink NA beer; I quite like it. Not often or a lot because it's got too much sugar/calories, but as a treat. It's definitely not going to make me start drinking again; as others have said it doesn't really bear any resemblance to real beer. Maybe if I found some very realistic NA vodka it might but definitely not NA beer. And I'm not evangelical about alcohol; if I have an NA beer with 0.5% alcohol or some cake with brandy in it or even a wine gum then I still consider myself a non drinker. I know others think differently and I get that ...
I remember when I first started drinking beer, tasted terrible ( to be diplomatic).
And now that I don’t drink I can remember what it tastes like and it tastes terrible.
We were fooled in to thinking it’s nice.
When I first started drinking as a college student, I drank 7 & 7s, because it was more palatable. However, on a college student's budget, liquor was expensive, so I switched to beer, where it was cheaper and I could drink more. There was a bar where beer was $.10 a glass. (Yes - that was eons ago). So, because of my budget, I had to learn to develop a taste for beer - and I did.
