Thank you

This site has been an amazing resource to me. I have “lurked” daily for the last few months, but tonight I am making the choice to post. I drink way too much and much too frequently. I am not the person I’d like to be.

I’m really happy you posted😀 SR has really helped me stay sober the last six months. Why don’t you join the March daily support thread? I’m in the September one and I’ve found it really helpful for my sobriety. Best of luck!

Glad you're here and posting.

I relate so much to that not being who you want to be. That was me to a tee. But still so fearful of changing.

I'm four years sober today. So much has changed. So much. And none of it would have been possible if I'd carried on drinking.

Nice to meet you! I'm so glad you posted, and I hope you continue to join us. I felt the same way- full of fear of who I was and what I would become if my life didn't change. This place seriously saved my life- these are some fine people.

I agree with Stonger2017- join a daily support thread to help you commit to yourself, and meet some of your support system.

Onward!

Thank you for the kind words. I know what I need to do, I just need to take the steps. Wish the steps came easier and that I wouldn’t allow self-sabotaging.

Even tho we'll not meet in person, we nonetheless care about each others' well being.

I hope we can help you get sober for good.

Welcome, Sksp. SR has been a great help in my getting and staying sober- everyone here is so kind and understanding-also bluntly honest at times. Perhaps you should join the class of March. Best wishes on your sober journey. Hope you stick around!

Welcome Sksp! The great people here will offer plenty of support. Getting sober is tough at first, but well worth the effort.

Welcome! I also lurked for a while before joining and couldn't believe when I did. I've learned a lot reading this board as the wealth of knowledge here is invaluable.
