Noone is going to lock you up at the ER Gregslo - they can't even admit you if you don't want to be

I understand the financial constraints too, but some things, like good health, are more important than money IMO.

Reading your pain and misery is like time travel for me; I have a long history here, filled with bleak, sobbing posts, many cries for help, countless declarations that I just couldn't do this anymore...only to find that I could do it, for many more years...long, slow, emotional death.

I can only tell you what finally moved me along: physical signs of neurological damage, specifically hand tremors that looked like small seizures; when it took two hands to drink without spilling, I knew I was done. I called work and asked for a week off for a medical procedure, called a detox center begging for a bed, and spent four nights away from home, lightly sedated and medically supervised. It was a start.

I hope you can make a physical move in the right direction, because I was you, and know too well what you're feeling. And without making a physical move, it could go on for a long while...I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone.

Stewy, by now you know drinking isn't helping you cope with life - it's bringing you no happiness or enjoyment. You're poisoning yourself out of habit - surely being sober has to be an improvement over this misery you're experiencing. There will be a few rough days in the beginning, but you can get your life back and begin to heal. Sobriety has to be better than this awful daily life you've doomed yourself to.

Good to see you, Stew.

Do you have a plan for fighting? Have you seen Dee's thread on Plans?

I will post a link in a minute, my friend.

I will die, I know that, if this continues. But just stop with the rehab attack. It痴 too much. Stop it. Enough of it. I have to stop . I get it

Stewy, take a step back for a minute, please. The members are are trying to help, not attack you.

We share what's helped us in the hopes it helps someone else. This is a recovery forum, after all. Not everyone looks at your history, therefore has no clue about your reluctance to enter rehab.

Whatever path you take is your choice. Lashing out helps no one.

Thank you for understanding.

I'm not going to direct folks not to suggest rehab to you

You may not like all the suggestions but I really think every post (and I mean every post) comes from people worried for you and your future.

If someone in this thread is annoying you, just use the ignore function Stewy.

I'm just glad you're here Stewy.

I removed some posts about the Sinclair Method because it's off topic here as it's not exclusively an abstinence based method.

There are forums exclusively devoted to TSM elsewhere on the web.
