Something new.
There are some changes that have occurred in the last few months that have me kind of excited. I have been sober now since October of 2015. For those that know me, I went through some rough times, got hurt really bad etc...I hate to admit this but for years I felt like life was bland, worthless and I was basically just waiting to die. I have had a full life with ups and downs, good and bad, lots of fun, no fun, money, no money, the works. So for quite some time I was at a loss at to what was left for me in life. I felt there was nothing. I had no plans for the future, the future was waiting til death. Horrible. This site got me through many a rough day.
With that being said, in the last few months I have a newfound optimism on life. In fact I've started making plans and setting goals again. I'm excited to do some new things. And on top of it all, I am pushing myself again. For years I pushed myself hard in all facets of life (including my drinking). Then that drive was lost. My drive is back and I like the way it feels. I'm am pushing myself to do things that will hopefully lead me to being happy and successful. Along with that drive comes discipline (for example time management), which I think is very important. I haven't gotten a clue how or why this has occurred, but I'm thankful that it has.
