Not to one up your story... But I got attacked by two unattended pit bulls this past year running on a forest preserve trail. I'm lucky only one leg was torn apart and needed a few stitches. I was actively drinking at the time. That dog attack open my eyes to my situation. I also took it as a sign. I wish you the best in your recovery journey.

Hope you reported the dog owner. Imagine if that dog got hold of a child! Then i might have thought about a drink?!
