It has been 1 month since I quit drinking. I come to this site daily and read the comments and encouragement. I do use it as a tool to keep me focused day to day. I am so lucky that I haven't had any withdraw symptoms or any cravings. I was on a drinking binge for about 18 months and before that time frame only drank socially (maybe three times a year). It went out of control so quick. I am thankful that I didn't hurt myself or someone else. I know for the rest of my time on this earth I will be alcohol free - it will be day to day, event to event and I am ready. I will have to remind myself DAILY why I can't drink and this site will help me do that. I started therapy and will attend my first AA meeting Sunday. I will use every tool I can to regain the life I deserve. So, I wanted to thank everyone for sharing their stories. This resource is valuable to all in recovery.
