Day 16 - sober is as sober does

In a smooth stretch re: staying sober for the time being. Some pangs and mild thoughts of urges, but no real temptations yet since Sunday when I was standing by myself before an open liquor cabinet with no one there.

Work is stressful enough. I'm out of shape enough. There are many weeds in my proverbial garden to tend to. I haven't been in a situation where I'm tempted as of yet.

On a kind of even keel -though I am very focused on sobriety - going to a 7:15am meeting in a few minutes, been reading on this and reddit, etc. Not being complacent about not drinking, just know that I'm not drinking anymore and am ok with that. But I also am not naive enough to think there won't come many times that will test me.

Anyhow, happy Thursday from the Atlantic seaboard here in America to everyone here. SR continues to be my main source.

No one is coming to save me.

Early recovery is no cakewalk but it is so worth it once you get a little more time built up. Stay close to SR. Best wishes for you on your journey!
