Sorry you are struggling.

You've been part of SR for a while, but not consistently. Can you commit to reading and posting daily? And if SR isn't enough, maybe some face to face support.

Glad you are reaching out for help here at SR.
You are not alone. We are here to help so stay with us and keep posting everyday.
Things will get better. You just need to start making a solid plan of recovery.

So now you see that your sobriety doesn't depend on anyone else. I hope that you are ready to make the commitment to sobriety and recovery. Do you have a plan for how to stop drinking? You will find lots of support here, so keep reading and posting. You can do this!

Hi, MrsLamp-
Glad to see you here asking for help. Doggonecarl has it right- can you join us at least daily and post and commit to your sobriety?

We are a very helpful bunch and full of good advice and support- it's great that your "enabler" is getting sober, but being left behind is not fun- I remember how intimidated I used to be when my friends stopped drinking. If only I had been smart enough to stop with them- fortunately- you ARE that smart and know this is the next step for you.

Please come here and read and post and maybe join the Class of Feb or the 24 Hour Connection threads.

This place got me through it- and lots of other people, too.

You can do it!

I know how that feels.

Here's what I suggest;

Pour out that vodka, drink a bunch of water, maybe have something to eat. Go to bed.

Leave a note to yourself on your bedstand:

"TODAY I EMBRACE SOBRIETY - Dear Mrs. Lamp, go log onto SR right now!"

Then, when you wake up and read it, log on and come back here.

We'll take it from there, along with you.

I hope our support can help you get sober for good. :grouphug:

Welcome back Mrs Lamp :)

Unfortunately the only way to change is hard work and dedication.
You'll find a lot of support here. You're not alone :)

Why not join the Class of February support thread?
