Day 35 and I feel great

I think maybe I am hitting that new point of clarity people who get sober talk about?

I woke up today with almost a renewed sense of what I can be and who I can become. I feel a confidence I haven't felt in a very long time. Maybe the poison is out of my system and my body and mind have begun to really start repairing the damage.

The path to sobriety has been filled with ups and downs. I am starting to learn how to embrace the ups, and get through the lows in new ways. I still remain fearful that returning to old habits could happen, but right now, sobriety feels good. I'm going to live in this moment and remember it. This feeling I have this morning as I sit here and type this feels better than an instant relief I received from the bottle.

Can 2018 be the year I look back on as the year I got better? There is still a lot of work to be done, but my goal is to make 2018 the year I get better.

Yes, 2018 will be for you. Remember the way you feel right now and etch it in your mind, right next to your last hangover. Make a choice each day which one you prefer to be. You got this and this post is inspiring. Thanks jack.

A year ago today, I was 21 days sober; I guess 2017 became my year. Make it happen in 2018, JackD! It's completely worth it.
