Weekender 15-19 February 2018
Inspiring to read everyone's posts - excellent work.
Sober here, working on a brief for work, stressed about my procrastination at work.
Sober though. Yesterday's trip to the Russian baths with my son was amazing. biminiblue - your quote about salt inspired me so I headed there for some hardcore sauna/steam room/cold pool life. Good stuff.
Congrats everyone.

Thank you saoutchik! This is my second go around. After being sober for a long time, I fell off the wagon and came back to SR. It feels so hard this time, probably last time too, lonely, kind of depressing. I'm looking into some volunteer work, maybe that will snap me out of it.
Thanks so much for the support!!

Hey all;
Just checking in.
Had a rainy but relaxing weekend by a big lake.
For the first time saw a flock of pelicans floating right by the house which was lovely.
That and some seriously naughty donuts.
My God, I had forgotten how good fried bread can be. . .

Thank you Dee. Basicslly I had to turn down an order from one of my oldest customers who I am personally quite close to but who had become unreliable at settling their account. I should have done it last year but it is done now at least.
That worked pretty well yesterday.
Today I'd like 75F and sunny, please. I mean, if I'm gonna ask.
Sober Tuesday. If you're out there and struggling, post somewhere. It helps. When I first started this forum I got a lot of my anger and fear and struggle out by journaling or posting in the forums.
Now to go look for my sandals and bathing suit...for the 75F weather.
Sao, you did the right thing. He'll figure it out.
Damp and drizzly here too.
There is a young chap who lives with his parents on the floor below me who has got definite problems with the grog. I saw him early on Saturday morning coming home drunk with skuffed up clothing and I have just seen him in a
pretty bad way again, it is only 8.40 here. I don't know him well enough to say anything plus he is too intoxicated to remember anything anyway. He is a nice lad, I hope he sorts himself out.

Very big emotional couple of days for me.....I posted about it twice already, so probably enough said. Everything is good.
Love to all of you. ♥♥
When I was still married my daughters kept a rowing machine in the kitchen, it caught out this unwary drunk many times.
This Weekender started off by mentioning fears, well apropos of my previous post I have managed to deal with something at work that I was unwilling to acknowledge and it really wasn't that bad, a bit awkward but nothing like as bad as I expected. Feeling better now.

And yeah....fears.....boy did Nick and I face ours in the last two days.
He had skin cancer....he has now had surgery and the biopsy was all good. We are very grateful and relieved. I was most definitely scared.
