Day 4 of sobriety
Things get a lot better after day 5 - keep going
My hair used to thin out too, which as a female was a major disaster and one of the reasons I quit in the end. it's all nice and thick and glossy again now though.
Well done on day 4 - you never have to feel like this ever again!

I was not feeling well at all on Day 4, sickofdrinking.
Be kind to, and patient with, yourself.
Drink plenty of water; eat small, healthy meals; get a bit of fresh air; rest, rest, rest.
You should feel a bit better every day.
Stay close.
We care.

Those early days were rough for me, too. In 2011 I had hallucinations starting 12 hours after quitting cold--it was nightmarish. I was very cold/sweaty with dry heaves and rapid pulse. It does improve from day 4-you're through the worst, I think. Keep strong and power through and your symptoms will get better. I took B complex vitamins, as alcohol leaches them (particularly thiamine) from our bodies. Wishing you the best on your sober journey.
I had HORRIBLE itchiness too. It seemed the itchiness would come from the inside of my skin rather than the outside. Nothing touched it. What ultimately did help was a Benadryl at night and a type of vaseline. I used Aquaphor. I also didn't cover my arms. Somehow the clothing aggravated it. It goes away as your nerves settle down. I feel for you. It is indeed awful. I hope you feel better soon. Well done on Day 4.

on day 3/4 everytime I tried to go to sleep I had hallucinations, and every time I nearly dropped off to sleep I had heart palpitations and whole body twitching. It was very scary. But you are through the worst imo, and now things can only get better, they have for me, so stick with it mate and you will reap the rewards.
