Day 3 of Sobriety

Ive been drinking for over 20 years and i want to stop for good. I have tried many times to stop without success. I have become very concerned for my health, i feel like i am deteriorating rapidly lately. Anyway i feel so positive about quitting, i dont want this positivity to leave me. I am currently on day 3 of not drinking, my skin feels so dry and itchy it is horrible. Im worried i have done permanent damage to myself.

Hi sickofdrinking,
There is a solution. Is it possible that you can get to a meeting today? I found that putting myself in the middle of the boat in recovery really helps!

Hahaha... Fourth day for me. I waked up with itchy skin. Usually I get that from Epoxy or Pineapple intolerance. Thank you for sharing...

Some people need to visit the doctor or a healthcare professional at the start if things don't go so well. Please make use of that if needed.

Hi Sickofdrinking. I also felt my health was deteriorating. (It probably was). I'm feeling better now that I'm taking active steps in making my health better. 3 days are some awful days! Keep going. SR is an awesome site with amazing members. SR is instrumental for many of us in remaining sober. Please read as much as you can. Hang in there.
