lessgravity, seriously don't do it. Moderation won't work. Especially at a celebratory dinner. Once you start it will be nigh on impossible to stop. Moderation is only possible for the very few.

Potatoes, bread, cake....I mean, come on :-)

Sorry, I thought it might come across like that.

It was honestly more me dealing with the dinner and thinking about wanting some of the wine that everyone was going to consume, maybe even grabbing myself a couple nips of vodka before I got there to make sure I was properly blitzed in case the wine ran out. And then trying to give myself a light-hearted way to deal or think about it. Plus I really should start laying off the carbs.
