I'm new to this site....

I’m new to this site, this is my first post, I’ll start out by saying I’ve been sober for 14 years 18 days, the reason I’m here is I’d like to help anyone that is struggling with their recovery, I’ve been through it all and I’m willing to help. Any advice for me where to post on this site is appreciated.

Welcome Danooo. 14+ years is awesome. I am proudly 18 days sober, so I am at the other end of the spectrum. I look forward to seeing you around and learning from your experience.

Congratulations on your 18 days, I know its not easy keep up the good work and the rewards are sometimes small at times but they will just keep coming :-)

Hi Jaffacake,
Great question and thanks for asking. Getting to spend quality time with my two kids, before I got sober I spent time with them but I was always drinking and it was all a blur, in 2004 we got into racing four wheelers and raced twelve seasons without missing a race, needless to say if I'd been drinking this wouldn't have happened. Now enough about me, how are you doing? Jaffcake?

Hi Mamakazi,
The quad racing kept me very busy, with races twice a month we were traveling, working on the quads ect.... Also in addition to racing I started going to church again, attending sober was a whole new experience, WOW what a novel idea.... I also bought a canon rebel camera, excellent hobby that's fun and inexpensive. Thanks for asking.
