Keep the faith , those paws will try and catch you out.
Almost a year under my belt and my brain still hasn’t levelled out.

I'm sorry to hear that. What was your drug of choice?

Thanks mate, I’m in a good place now.
I’ve got it’s number.
My brain just keeps getting better.
They say 2 years to level out is that right?

What a turn around

This time last year I was £5k in debt and couldn’t see a way out.

Since then I’ve had a holiday, breaks away, days out, bought presents, provided for my family, paid all house bills, paid for my 2 year old daughter in to private nursery 1 day a week and paid my tax bill.
I am now comfortabley in the black.
I haven’t worked harder to achieve this status( if anything I have worked less).
I simply stoped drinking on the 6th of March 2017.
Best thing I’ve ever done.

One of the many great things about staying clean for me is that I can remember things from a long time ago in great vivid detail. From exactly what was said the smell, how I was feeling at the time and what people where wearing. Almost like it had just happened.
Also I’ve become good at scrabble and can see the pockets when I play snooker

One of the worst things about having clarity is watching my best friend slowly drinking himself to death.
Sorry about this negative post.
Are there ways to help him without being too preachy.
I know how alcoholics blindly defend their addiction.
