I remember when I was in London 30 years ago.....yes, really for a visit (family) and I could not believe the traffic THEN....so I do not blame you one bit for not wanting to drive in London traffic.

Apparently, some of the worst places in the world (after Tel Aviv and believe me it's true) to drive are London, New York....and wait for it.....Melbourne.

I suppose none of them are as bad as some developing countries. I have limited experience as a passenger on the Lagos-Ibaden expressway 34 years ago. It was quite challenging.

I cannot claim it is my recipe for cheesecake Venuscat but it is the one I use. "Half fat seems to have gone out of fashion recently so I use a mixture of full fat and low fat cream cheese. I also use cherries instead of blueberries sometimes.

Thank you.....I love Jamie Oliver.

(Nick hasn't heard of him....I still find it amazing :)).

I've made that a few times. I got my three year-old niece to decorate it last time, so it didn't look quite like the picture :scared: but it still tasted pretty good :)

And it's a NY cheesecake which is my very favourite and the kind my mum made.
Thank you again!!! :) ♥

I live on my own and cannot really be trusted with a whole cheesecake so I bring it to work the following day.

:) I hear you...luckily for me I have Nick now. He can put away food and not wear it at all. Not fair huh. :)

The farmers are blocking the roads near Toulouse the last week or so. This evening I had to take a detour. They completely blocked the A64 motorway burning tyres and bales of straw and hay. Tractors everywhere.. They broke off the slide rails off the center and sides of the motorway and bent them across the motorway.
It was a proper mess :)
Muckers :)

What are they protesting?

Money of course :)

Lots of regions were taken off the disadvantaged zone classification which means that the farmers in these areas will lose their EU European grants for being in a disadvantaged zone.

I have received a rather unpleasant letter from a large organisation accusing me, Saoutchik, of assorted, copyright infingements. The nerve of these people! I'm going to have compose one of those grovelling apologies that doesn't actually admit liability. Fortunately we are too small for them to waste money on.

New National Holiday....Authorities in Australia and the US Work Together To Create International Holiday

Apparently, it is the birthday of some sober chic on Saturday.
And all sorts of fusses have been kicked up.....for some reason this woman is calling attention to herself....it seems to be 'all about her'.

Could she be an alcoholic?

Yes.

All of this because it is the first sober birthday of her life with a partner?
Lordy. The ego is just astounding.

The word is that congress is going to nip this in the bud.
