Accountability

I continue to be enticed by the siren song of alcohol. I know it is evil...hence the analogy of the sirens. I don't want to succumb ......... should I dash myself against the rocks? I really feel like it.

In the original tale Odysseus plugged all of his sailors' ears with wax and ordered them to tie him tightly to the mast.

You don't have to go so extreme but...here's some wax

Every time you ignore the call, you get a little stronger for next time.

A good plan helps too - what else are you doing to stay sober besides posting here FallingStars?

Plug your ears with beeswax and tie yourself to the mast if necessary. Don't give in to sirens nor AV

no means no. not today, not for any reason. drinking is simply no longer an option. PERIOD. the voices can say anything they like.....it doesn't matter, it is irrelevant.

Staying sober will get easier when you finally want to be sober more than you want to drink.

Thank you for the support. My computer had some issues so I had to turn it off overnight... I put wax in my ears (not really) and went to bed. Another night averting that nasty call to alcohol.
