26 days sober today. I have good days and bad days. The oddest things act as a trigger (commercials, songs about drinking). Definitely a lonely feeling. I don't know if I should be happy or sad at where I'm at in life. I can list a million ways I feel better sober but tbh I'm miserable and feel like everyone else is having fun but me. Btw first post

Hi Jimmy - welcome
26 days is great but its still early days - frankly I wouldn't expect anyone to have sorted out their life or what they want yet.

Emotions were all up and down for me too the first 3 months.

Stay sober and give it time - things have a way of working out

Hi Jimmy! I can definitely relate - I had those mixed feelings in the early days too. We are learning to live again in a different way. You've done a great thing by getting sober - congrats on your 26 days. Be kind & patient with yourself as you heal. We're here to encourage you - you're never alone.

Welcome Jimmy.

I definitely agree, I was up and down, emotion wise for quite a 2hike. Then again, I had been drinking for years and it takes a while for body and brain to adjust.

Well worth it thought. Congratulations on 26 days.

Welcome Jimmy!! I think all of us faced the same emotions in early recovery. Be easy on yourself and stay the course - it gets better!!

Welcome! I get that feeling too (FOMO, right?) For me it helps to remind myself how little fun I actually have drinking. How much misery it brings with such small rewards. You're better off! 26 days is impressive to me. I can't wait to get there
