2 day relapse

I had a two day relapse (2 bottles of alcohol each day) and am taking Wellbutrin, which lowers seizure threshold. I'm at the end of day two and just had shakes and minor visual hallucinations (seeing spots). Should I still be expecting seizures? I'm always afraid that will happen. In the 30 days I was sober I still had visual hallucinations, twitches, and lack of coordination even one month with no alcohol or drugs.

Glad you made it back. I don't have any knowledge in relation to the meds and seizures but wanted to wish you well. Can you talk to the doctor who prescribed the meds for advice?

I agree that you should ask the doctor who prescribed Wellbutrin for advice. Hope you feel better soon!

Sky,

If the cat is already out of the bag, see a dr.

I had some pretty severe detox and withdrawals for months.

I didn't die, but I have some ptsd from it.

I understand your relapse. This booze thing is a killer.

With all my sober time I have had a chance to really get my act together.

Everything is better. My job is finally starting to turn around.

I am consistent now. Before it was anything can happen.

Last week my old boss got right in my face early in the morning.

It was so obvious he was trying to get a whiff of me.

All he smelled was hair conditioner and deodorant.

I don't drink any more and it is amazing.

Thanks.

I really think you should get to the hospital, the seizures can be very dangerous, and they can help you through this.

None of us can, or should, predict what might happen to you. Best thing to do is see your doctor and tell him/her how you're feeling.

Hi skyline

Like others have said we're just not doctors, and even if we were we can't diagnose you over the net.

If you're concerned, please see a real doctor. They may tell you everything is fine, but at least you'll have peace of mind

I would also recommend seeking medical help. Subsequent withdrawals can get progressively worse, so even your last detox is not always a good indicator. New symptoms can appear at any time, and hallucinations and shakes are nothing to mess with.
