Made it to day two.. felt awful last night - hot sweats and a panicky feeling in bed .. is that normal? Have a head ache today too... but thank you to all the votes of confidence on here.. Ive made baby steps so far, I hope it continues!

Based on my personal experience here is a possible explanation for your husband's behavior.
My wife stopped drinking long before I did. In hindsight, I was less than fully supportive of her efforts because it shined a bright light on my excessive drinking.
