Clarity

I was taking a shower, getting ready for the doctor appointment I have been dreading for the past 3 days, and I finally came to a realization.
I'm not nervous about the doctor or the judgment I keep telling myself they will have. I'm nervous about admitting my problem because that makes it real.. Really real. There will be no turning back.
What does a doctor care? It's not their life, their body being ravished by alcohol. They would want to see a person get sober. They are there to help.

So I`m going into my appointment today feeling much better (still worried), and I'm walking in on my fourth day of sobriety.

I hope everyone is doing good today, and if you're not, reach out! People will listen. <3

This is a great start! Be honest about your concerns, your drinking, and your struggles to get sober.

good on ya for going and being honest.:You_Rock_

isnt it strange to have such a hard time with humility with this?
yet, when the brakes on my car need work, i have no problem going to the repair shop and saying i need help with my brakes. :)

nothing wrong with asking for help. theres something like a hundred thousand people registered here. most all of them have reached out for help in some way, shape, or form.

edit:
actually, i think the problem has been real for some time,eh?
just no getting honest about it?

Good luck-
It's the anxiety of not knowing. Just visualize the feeling of relief once you are walking out of the office.

I hope it goes/went well today. Best thing I ever did was to walk into my GP and tell her exactly how much I was drinking, 100% honest for the first time about my drinking.

Onwards & upwards for you! :)
