I went to my first AA meeting today, at day 4. I was nervous but confident in my plan. I’d always feared the thought of doing so. But I went. I walked in and I took a seat. It was easy. I introduced myself and only shared that it was my first time there. I accepted a white chip. I was welcomed. I met a lot of great people and heard a lot about the importance of service. I received a list of numbers from the ladies in the room and more sincere greetings and introductions as I left. I am looking forward to going back tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a great day, thanks for always being here for me!

I avoided going to my first AA meeting for a long time.

Then after I went to one, I came home and thought "I should have done that years ago."

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I had my second meeting tonight. I was recognized and welcome. I was even asked to read the purpose and I did so proudly. I know so far, for at least today , things are going to be okay! Keep up all of your hard work and thanks for the years of inspiration!!!
