So sorry to hear this JJ991. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things a person can go through, in my opinion. You are in my thoughts.

We had our gorgeous little cat put to sleep earlier this evening. She had had enough today, she was waving the white flag.

My husband will be breaking his dry January tonight. It would be SO easy to join him but I plan to annoy any "sugar police" and eat lots of chocolate!

RIP our little fur baby.

Sorry JJ....thats so hard. But seriously well done on hitting the chocolate rather than the alcohol.
Be super kind to your self.

I'm so sorry JJ and share your sadness. Good for you choosing the chocolate. You've shown strength in a difficult, emotional situation. Hang in there.

I was once told, years ago, when I had a miscarriage, it wasn't even worthy of grief, it wasn't anything (like I said it was years ago, different ideas then). But to me it was. I loved that unborn, unformed child, I grieved that unlived future I had planned for us. Years later I went to a therapist about other things, and he said that every loss you have had and haven't dealt with properly will come back with the next loss to be dealt with..
I think , the loss you feel for your pet, brings back the loss you felt and didnt fully intergrate for your dad as well as for the the cat you loved.
If you love, you grieve, and you obviously loved, so why shouldn't you grieve the loss? The loss of love is not a small loss

RIP, JJ's dear kitty. A lucky girl indeed, to be rescued by such a loving family. You respected & treasured her until the end. Prayers for you are going up.

I know exactly how you feel JJ
We lost our beautiful cat Bailey on 7th Jan - not a good start to the year. I loved him so much he has left a massive hole in our lives. Our little fur babies are our family. I'm still grieving and will be for a long time as you will be. Thoughts are with you xx ♥

Very sorry for your loss. I know how painful it is.

Treasure the memories, and that you provided a loving home.
