Fog

Dunno if mind fogginess can last for a long time but mine seems to be still clearing up even after I thought it was over
I’m getting more clarity and some issues and things that I’ve had are lessening- at times just disappearing
Irrational fears diminish
Everything I post is predominantly for one reason
Aside from seeing if my deal is relatable I want to perhaps help someone who is new to sobriety and maybe would like to relate
Honesty is new for me... but it’s a byproduct of my sobriety

Dishonesty and drunkenness were a vicious cycle for me. They fed off one another.

Honesty and sobriety are a glorious cycle. For the same reasons. :)

Congrats, Sir Rodney. :ring

The fog comes and goes in waves, I had it bad, really bad. It finally started to lift around the 6 month mark but I'll still get it here and there along with memory issues. My emotions have stabilized though. I'm typically calm and mellow, but for those first 7-8 months I'd rage at the drop of a hat.

You're doing well Rodney - and I think you're helping others with it :)

Rodney, sounds like you're making progress man. Thanks for continuing to share. Yes, the fog does lift and as a byproduct increased clarity, focus and peace. Really encouraged by your post. Rock on!
