6 Days Clean and my Birthday!

Oh my gosh I think this might be the most excited I've been for my birthday since I was a kid. I woke up with no headache and no feeling like I haven't drank water in years. I never thought I would even make it to 20 so the fact that I'm turning it today AND I'm sober is amazing to me. I am also aware this is just a good day (after day 2 I started to feel a lot better. Maybe because I wasn't alone and joined this site and read all your comments or idk what it is) but I'm really proud of myself
It's the small victories, right?

Happy 20th Birthday, Jess! All of your feelings are valid - happiness, pride, excitement. What's also awesome is that you are allowing yourself to really feel your emotions. Soak it in. Congratulations on 6 days of sobriety.

Good job, Jess! Your whole life is still in front of you, and it'll be immensely better without alcohol, that's for sure. I envy you! Make the most of this.
