I have to say, this is such an interesting premise to me. I'm genuinely curious how it will turn out because it's a situation I can foresee myself being in at some point.

Part of me thinks I would have no problem being around others drinking, especially people that I'm close with. On the other hand, who knows what kinds of unpredictable things could trigger me during the course of the meal. Having the drink as an option this early on might be a bad idea.

I think the important thing is to realize that this is someone only 3 months sober. I am sure in time she will be okay being around winedrinkers.

But so early on, why take a chance if you do not have to?
