The Fog

Booze really affected my thinking
I hear that it takes time for the brain to realign itself
I’m a believer
I think (pun unintended) that I was “foggy” for years
Right now, I’m not digging all of the stupid things I’ve done.., but at the same time it’s good to be able to see how moronic they were
Just everyday things that weren’t thought out
Totally against the concept of driving drunk
but I sure as hell did it
Foggy Hypoocrisy should’ve been my supervillian name
Thinking clearly is actually better than that buzz that I so cherished

So true. It's a slippery slope. At first I felt like being buzzed actually heightened my senses, years later none of that remained and drunk me was just a shell of the former drunk me, who was a shell of me. Well, I got tired of all those shells and the crippling fog that came with them. It's been 3 weeks and I finally feel the fog lifting. I still have bad days but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. And reflecting on the stupid drunk stuff I did still hurts, but I keep reminding myself; you're finally doing a good thing. After all the bad decisions, you are finally making a seriously good one. Just don't muck it up.

I agree with the fog, some days I still feel foggy but there are some days where I’m almost on sensory overload. I’m not sure if that’s anti-fog or something unrelated but I’m (very slowly) getting more and more used to dealing with that by taking some breaths and slowing down

I’m 2 weeks btw 😊

I'm still super foggy, unfortunately (but more clear-headed than when I was drinking!) I just hit day 30.

Day 3

I'm on day 3 of being sober. Headaches are the worst. So far no craving but the foginess comes and goes. One day at a time right

Yep I believe that’s right
Everyone seems to have different symptoms
Never had a headache
My cravings came later
Anxiety was hard at first
It all decreases though

Cravings

I'm sure I'll get them, but I know for the next 90 days I'll be ok, due to a in home monitor I have that requires me to submit a sample 3x a day.
