That is a powerful one, Offthemast. I can relate so closely it almost made me break out in a sweat just reading it. Not fun to read and think about but absolutely necessary.

Hey everybody, gonna join ya'll! I had over six months until I slipped in September, still finding my way back and on day six now.

Sitting in my media room now listening to music & getting ready to watch football which are two usual drinking activities. Fought through the urges and should be good for the day. Here's to a sober weekend and beyond

Oh, so it was you, Fiona!

Only joking, I have no idea what those quote marks do. I've dicked about with them and read about them in the FAQs to no avail.

Please help Fiona and me, class.

What on earth do they do?

Welcome JC-NY!

Trohyn and Fiona I think they let you quote multiple people. But it beats me on how to actually use it. Lol.

Oh, that's cool.

Tap the quote marks on each individual post, then hit the quote button on the last post and they all appear in your reply.

Behold, I am the quote master.

Excellent trohyn 😀 we've all learned something new today.

I've been reading so much since last week. I've been reading about religion in a historical context. I'm not particularly religious but have developed an interest in history and religion seems such a fundamental part of that here in the UK. Anyway I've learned loads and surprised how much I'm enjoying it.

Makes a change from my normal detective or spy novels 😀

The quote marks are for multiple quotes.

You can quote up to three posts.

Hit the quote mark on a post and it turns red.

If you hit 'quote' on the last post you want to post all 3 posts will be quoted

works with two posts as well- just make sure you hit the quote button on the last one.

Isn't that what I said Dee?
Are you trying to take my hard earned "quote master" title?

Hi. Just woke up from a nap. I woke abruptly after dreaming I drank a margarita. Walked into the kitchen (awake) to hubby pouring himself a beer. How weird. No idea where that came from. I'm sure not going to ask.
Sober night for me. I want to make it to day 14 tomorrow and beyond. Cuddled on the couch with my youngest watching The Sandlot. He was so excited to see me awake. You'd have thought I had been on vacation for a month!

Day 19 to zero i'm lost

Thanks
ReaydAtLast, kgirl41, Trohyn and Chase01!
from my prior posts y'all know I've had insomnia for a week now. we're talking bed @ 5am. prescribed meds suddenly ineffective but wasn't about to abuse them. I used the awake time positively mentally/physically. I've been "off the grid" for years.
Having said that, the lack of sleep played the bad guy role in going from Day 19 to ZERO.

I was mentally exhausted..therefore NOT giving myself enough time or energy to just " Push Play". My method of remembering going back to where I was and where I am.

Now today after a couple hours sleep, I clean myself up. Eat well. Go through our awesome class posts then rush off to liquor store as in an act to replace the 4 cans in my Mom's storage room. ALL AN ACT.

They only sell that brand in 12 packs oh gee I've 8 beers. Already drank 2.
Insanity. In spite of all you've taught me I can't figure out the (link in chain that broke). Day ZERO. Lost.

You can start again TYG.
It all starts with a day one.

The longer you leave it the harder it's going to be.

Hi Class,
Finishing up day 13 here and feel great! This time around my AV has been basically non existent. Now don’t get me wrong I am very thankful for that, but just wondering why that is....I was the weekend warrior type and could abstain usually during the week and go gang busters all weekend every weekend. This weekend has been great, no cravings at all.
Any thoughts or views on this?

Sometimes I had constant cravings and sometimes none BTL.

They will come tho I'm afraid- whether mental or physical or both - so it's good to be prepared

TYG2 I have done that so many times - we would have 3 beers left in the fridge, I’m up late and drink all three thinking I will replace the beers and quit tomorrow. But of course then I have to buy six beers minimum so I have to drink at least three, and what is the point of only three beers, that’s a warmup. So off I go.

It’s okay! Sometimes I think there is so much emphasis on the number of days, and I do understand that if we didn’t do that we would always be on day one, but the point is that you are making a change. You haven’t lost what you’ve learned and the strength you have exercised just because you reset the clock.

That’s my thought anyway but I am a serious amateur here and don’t know much - just hope you don’t beat yourself up about it.
