Mixed feelings
Mixed feelings
Every morning I wake up my brain feels like its been covered in chicken soup. My body is waging war against me.
This and only 12 days into sobriety
I must be a masochist because in a twisted way at the back of my mind there is great joy
The mixed feelings above are those I've never experienced before.
As the day progresses and the coffee gets into my veins it all subsides and I seem to balance out. I get settled
I'm loving it all in a debauched way. It's new. It's change. and it's wonderful,
I guess as time goes on this will all fade.
The diary of madness continues

Congratulations on 12 days.
I found as I built sober time and also worked my program, my emotions and moods gradually evened out.
I was able to address and change my mad lifestyle and create one I liked. Instead of a self destructive one.

Hi Rockfish
Well done on 12 days.
Having stopped poisoning your body and brain they have to start making changes and these changes don't happen overnight unfortunately they take time.
This early stage is a point of realisation or wake up to how oblivious we have been to the extent of what alcohol has done.
It is different for everyone.
Good luck with your sobriety moving forward!
