Day one tomorrow

Well here goes I am a 41 year old guy with a history of mental issues including anxiety and panic disorder along with bipolar tendencies. Used to only drink on weekends hardcore but those days are long gone. I now have the issue of mental addiction of drinking daily 2 to sometimes 8 drinks a day. Along with medications I’ve used beer as a crutch for the past 3 years after a month full of panic attacks. I have had them longer then my drinking history so they were present prior to alcohol. My question is how do you let go of the crutch? I take days off once or twice a week but it has really affected my now agoraphobic lifestyle. Going to give this a shot and see how it goes.
Thanks in advance!!

Welcome?

Has your anxiety and panic disorder ever kept you from obtaining and consuming alcohol?

I'm thinking not. So don't let it keep you from recovering.

Welcome to the family. I hope the support here can help you get sober for good. It takes time and effort, but it's worth it.
