Hi everyone

I first got sober in April of 2005 with a relapse 3 years later. I sobered up again and had been sober since, but I drank again about 10 months ago. I started drinking hard liquor, a change from when I first got sober. It was just beer then.

My doctor prescribed Librium to help with the withdrawal and I am feeling scared about coming off that, too. Anyway, I just wanted to reach out to you all. AA meetings aren't enough for now. I am a bit nuts

Use as prescribed, it shouldn't be an issue.

You aren't still drinking are you? You don't want to mix them. And I would assume that if your doctor gave you Librium to get through withdrawals, then we are talking about a short period of time. Not long enough to become dependent...again, if used as prescribed.

No, I'm not drinking. I guess I've read too much about withdrawal from benzos and I've scared myself. The prescription is for a short period. I've been on them for 3 weeks and I called her today about a taper. Thanks for the feedback.
