Update on depression

I found out today that there is a reason for some of my depression. One of my drugs is causing Akathisia which is involuntary movement of legs. I am constantly moving my legs and have to pace to house at times. This creates a lot of distress as you can imagine. So I am going to stop taking this drug (Abilify). It is actually an anti-psychotic that is thought to help with depression. It was added to my other anti depressants in hope of enhancing them. But it has turned out to be not very helpful at all. I am glad that I am going off them. It will definitely help with my anxiety and irritableness. It was causing me to think drinking would calm me down... not good.

My pdoc prescribed Abilify last month. I stopped taking it after 2 pills when I started to eat everything in the house.

Seriously bad mojo. Did not like.

That sounds similar to Restless Leg Syndrome, which can be caused by a variety of things. It happens to me at night time and it's really annoying. I'm glad you got that straightened out.

Thanks Anna....Yes, it is similar to Restless Leg Syndrome which usually effects one's sleeping. This is a 24/7 restlessness.
