Today is Day 50
Hi SR!
Today marks day 50 for me. Wow, I can't believe I am typing that. I can honestly say these days went by pretty fast. Certainly some ups and downs...but by keeping my eye on the prize I was able to get here.
I am not done yet. Day..by day.. Filling that void that was left in my life by removing alcohol. More hobbies! Exercise! Healthy eating. Healthy eating, drinking, and living has become my passion so far.
I was drinking heavy for 4-5 years before stopping. During that time, I never put together longer than 3 days. Day 4 would always come and I'd get trashed.
I surprised myself...and my family.
You have to believe in yourself and live the sober life for yourself. Yourself and no one else! That's what made the difference.
I have a long way to go but as I head to sleep now I am going to enjoy my 50th sleep sober. Tomorrow is 51.
If anyone ever wants to chat, feel free to reach out. Let's support each other on this journey.
Thanks everyone.
