Good luck with rehab. I'm sure it will work out for you.
It's good to take a break from all the gadgets every now and then. A lot of the stress in people's lives are due to being constantly connected every minute of every day. It's nice to get away from it all and start to notice and appreciate the world around you.

Sending prayers and best wishes--rehab was an important piece of my recovery and I learned a lot, especially from my fellows. Keep an open mind and participate fully and you'll do great, babescake.
Welcome home!!!
I know it was terribly hard walking away from my dogs to go to treatment. I was worried about how they'd be without much human interaction while I was gone (had a neighbor feeding them & water; they could go outside to a fenced-in yard anytime as necessary).
Looking forward to hearing how it went. I know I really came to enjoy my time in rehab. Not that I'd ever want to do it again, mind you. I learned a lot about myself, and it was a life-changing event for me.

Thanks everyone. I'm staying at my parents' house for a few days before transitioning home. It is safe here as they don't drink and are supportive. My son is staying with me this weekend too.
I'm going to my first meeting monday as i wanted to decompress a bit. Ironically I was surrounded by people for a month and didn't get sick, but now have the fever and flu-like symptoms so I'm just resting and relaxing.
My experience was amazing and I'll go into it later. I would recommend my facility to anyone. It is ran by the most amazing staff and I met a really strong sober support group.

Well done on a great beginning to your recovery!
I remember being totally exhausted after my 5-week stay in rehab and a lot of the women coming into the sober living house after theirs were the same way. I also felt it was an amazing experience, although not one I'd want to repeat.

Hey, BC! Welcome back; you really sound good and positive. I needed inpatient rehab--both of my stays were very helpful -- I now have 25 months of sobriety. I wish you continued success on your sober journey.
