Trying to make it 4 days
I’ve stopped quite a few times in the last couple of months. 1st and 2nd day seems so easy but I’ve never made it to day 4. I’m on day 1 once again. Started drinking at 17 when I went into the military. My roomie pulled me aside and told me I was turning into an alcoholic. He put a joint in my hand and I never looked back. I’ll be 63 in 2 weeks. Seems I’ve been a “functioning” addict for 45 years. I need a change. Alcohol was easy to stop. I did coke (powder) for almost 10 years and stopped cold turkey - no problems. I was on morphine for 8 years, when my prescription ran out and my doctor left the practice I decided to get pain relief in other ways. No problem getting of the morphine. Seems weed has been the problem drug. I just want to get past day 4.

iffen ya look at the BIG picture:

this is much deeper then weed being the problem drug. theres,in my opinion, a pretty serious addiction problem. it very well could that, like many addicts, the drugs are a symptom of deeper problems-problems there ARE solutions for.

Hi, my name is Kecia and my clean date is 2/26/09. I have been were you are many times and understand the difficulty you are experiencing. I was able to get past the days of clean time by attending 12 step meetings. I did not know anyone my first meeting; however, the group embraced me and I have continued attending. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep coming back!
