Happy New Years SR and Happy 3 Years Sober to me
SR!!!!! My day 1 was 3 years ago today. Just after midnight I poured my remaining booze down the drain and at that moment I knew I was committed to this quest for a sober life..SoberRecovery has been a lifeline for me. I don't do AA or any face to face recovery groups, so SR has been my meetings
The knowledge, wisdom and understanding that I have found here, dispensed by kind and caring folk from all over the world...well, my gratitude cup overflows, thanks to all of you 
For the newcomers, please stick it out. Stick close to this site. Stick out the early days when it is tough and you feel like you will never have a good day. It isn't easy in the early days, but it will be worth it. My first year was rather hellish but I just kept stepping out on the limb, believing that, one day, I would get to a place where I felt good. And I did! You will, too. I believe it for you.

Congratulations on 3 years of sobriety 2HR! It is very cool that New Year's Day has such special meaning for you. Thank you for the wonderful, inspirational post and all of your contributions to this community.
